About Us
The UQ Physics Demo Troupe is a group of students at the University of Queensland who are interested in spreading their enthusiasm for science. We meet regularly to learn how to perform science demonstrations, and to develop new demonstrations. We frequently visit schools to perform science shows, and we present regular lecture demonstrations for undergraduate subjects at UQ.
The Troupe is co-run by Joel Gilmore and Jenny Riesz , both PhD students in the Physics Department at UQ. Most of the Troupe performers are UQ undergraduate physics students. We are all volunteers who love promoting science.
